Schovenhorst Estate
Discover trees from the 19th and 20th centuries
Trees Gardens
The 170-year-old Schovenhorst Estate is famous for its five tree gardens that originated in the 19th and 20th centuries as nursery and forestry experiments with conifers. Now it is nice to (wander) around, but several planned walks will help you discover the tree gardens by theme. In addition to walks, Schovenhorst Estate offers numerous other activities for the whole family; from theme days to workshops, children's treasure hunts and theater performances both indoors and outdoors.
The Forest Tower
In addition, the Schovenhorst Estate has a special experience to offer, namely The Forest Tower. Climbing the tower is an adventure in itself due to the ever-changing perspective, a gallery with nesting boxes and a spectacular free-hanging climbing cage for daredevils. Once at the top of this architectural masterpiece is the reward with a magnificent view of the Veluwe. Climb the 235 steps and see for yourself. The Bostoren is open daily and entrance tickets can be withdrawn from an ATM at the back of the Bostoren. For more information, current opening hours and admission prices, visit the Schovenhorst Estate website.
