House rules

Below you can find the most important house rules that apply while you enjoy your stay at Kasteel De Vanenburg. We kindly ask you to respectfully comply with those rules.

1. Security camera's are to be found at various places around the estate. By staying in our hotel, you agree on being recorded. In the event of calamities or other incidents, these recordings can be showed to a third party as supporting material.
   
2. A valid ID must be presented at check-in. Check-in is only possible for individuals aged 18 and older.
3. Deliberate damage to the property of Kasteel De Vanenburg may result in being held liable for repair and/or replacement costs.
4. It is strictly prohibited to consume, use, trade or carry any narcotics during your stay.
5. It is forbidden to light any (tea) candles in the (bath)room.
6. It is forbidden to cause nuisance to others in or around the hotel and estate. For example: loud music, lewd behavior or noise of any kind. In the case of serious disturbance of other guests we reserve the right to charge extra for the inconvenience. When failing to comply with this rule, one warning will be given. If you fail to comply after one warning, we will request that you immediately leave the premises in order to guarantee peace for our other (hotel)guests.
7. If we ascertain that you are responsible for damage in the hotel room or any other building on our estate and/or additional cleaning is needed, we will charge extra costs of at least €150
8. Prostitution and/or paid sexual activities are not allowed. If such activities are detected, the police will be notified immediately, and it will result in immediate eviction without refund of any paid room fees.
9. It is not allowed to smoke in our hotel or in any other rooms or halls at our estate. This also applies to the use of electronic cigarettes. If we find there has been smoking in the room, we are forced to charge €100 in cleaning costs. If the fire alarm is triggered by smoking in the room, we will pass on the fire department's call-out costs to you.
10. We do not serve alcohol to anyone under 18 years old. We may ask for a valid ID. Additionally, we will not serve alcohol to persons who we believe are already in a state of intoxication.
11. It is not allowed to occupy the hotel room with more people than the number for which the reservation is made.
12. Pets are not allowed, with the exception of guide dogs and registered assistance dogs.
13. Decorating the event spaces or hotel rooms should be done in consultation with us. Decorations must be removed after use and are your own responsibility. If this is not done, we will need to remove and dispose of the decorations, and staff costs will be charged, with a minimum fee of €50 (costs may increase if this takes longer than one hour). The use of confetti, rice, or artificial flowers is not allowed. Any cleaning costs or technical issues resulting from this will be charged to the guest.
14. All use of fireworks and/or the releasing of wish balloons is not permitted on our estate.
15. Kasteel De Vanenburg is not responsible for the loss, destruction or theft of your belongings.
16. We accept cash payments up to a maximum of €2,000 and in bills no larger than €100.
    
17. Found items will be stored for one month. Therefore we require you to collect any items left behind and/or forgotten within one month after your stay.
18. All instructions related to the house rules from the employees of Kasteel De Vanenburg must be followed. All remarks can be reported to the management.
