Several beautiful cities that are definitely worth visiting, near Kasteel De Vanenburg, are Elburg, Harderwijk, Hattem, Zwolle and Amersfoort.

Hanseatic cities 

Between 1100 and 1200, various cities joined under the Hanseatic network. This was a partnership for the Hanseatic cities merchants in these cities. Prosperity manifested itself in new buildings, ornate merchant houses and impressive trading offices. The magnificent city walls and gates still stand in the various Hanseatic towns in 2021. This is called the Hanseatic Gothic. Each Hanseatic city is known for its own authentic atmosphere and charm. The various Hanseatic towns close to Kasteel De Vanenburg are Elburg, Harderwijk, Hattem and Zwolle. Highly recommended if you are looking for a nice day out in the city! 

Amersfoort 

In addition to the Hanseatic cities, the city of Amersfoort is definitely worth visiting. Amersfoort has a historic city center, in which several canals and monuments play a major role. You can take a tour of different monuments, or you can visit a museum in which you can admire all kinds of different art.The stores are divided into narrow alleys and atmospheric shopping streets.
